SOLD Randall Knife Model 1 7", early 50's, excellent condition
Following are a few of my bone or stag handled knives: 1) A Hen & Rooster Full Tang (too large to be a very practical knife but would make a good chopper). 2) A Randall (decent skinner but not full tang). 3) A Bark River (very hefty and I really like it but, again, not full tang).

RANDALL 18 KNIFE
The Micarta will take care of itself. I don't believe the blade is stainless since there is no "S" after the Randall stamp. The blade is O-1 carbon steel and will rust if neglected. Best to keep Ren Wax or a light coating of gun oil on the blade and as you are aware, do not store the knife in the sheath. Someone else will have to chime in on.

Interesting Randall Knife Colt Forum
Randall's stainless is 440b I believe which isn't anything special. O1 is my favorite blade steel. Unfortunately Randall makes both their steels quite soft. Don't think they'd hold an edge particularly well compared to other knives. Unless you're absolutely stuck on a Randall I'd suggest commissioning a knife from one of the excellent makers here.

Missouri. Jan 9, 2017. #2. Randall Knives are sweet knives, when I bought mine I waited five years. It's a totally custom knife due to the options I ordered and one of my most prized knifes. I have carried this knife over the last 15 years or so on and off both hunting and bushcraft. I have a spare sheath that I use to preserve the original.

So many knives so little use: Randall, Fairbairn Sykes, Case, Schrade, Puma, Buck, Gerber, Able, CRKT, and even Japanese cutlery, to name just a few but include many others. I carry and use but can only carry one and use so many; however - I have so many more - what to do.
